Hi folks!  Like most of you, I came across this forum after getting screwed by GoDaddy.

My website, endh1b.com, was shut down last December after some scumbags filed a defamation suit.  You can read about that case here:

http://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2010/01/order-shut-down-websites-critical-apex-technology-

The judge issued a temporary and preliminary injunction ordering GoDaddy to shut down the domain.

I got a lawyer, fought the suit, and I got the case dismissed.  I sent the court order dismissing the case to domaindisputes@godaddy.com.  Some idiot named Christopher Patterson sent me this email:

Thank you for your message. The Order does not say that the Injunction enjoining GoDaddy.com from hosting the site has been terminated. The domain names will remain on Registrar-Lock to maintain the status-quo until GoDaddy.com is further ordered by the court.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Kindest Regards,

Christopher Patterson

WTF?  Has anybody else come across this?  They are saying I need to get a court order to unlock my domain?

What a nightmare.  I wish I had been smarter and registered offshore, with anonymoussheap.com, which is what I did with my domains after the lawsuit.

Are you sure everything was correct? I know the guy youre talking about, and he is actually one of the good employees there. I'd like to believe he hasnt changed in the last few months after I left.
